Some people like burgers. Others prefer a chicken sandwich. Now, McDonald’s is bringing those conflicted between choosing a Big Mac and a McChicken the perfect solution. You can now order a Big Mac with chicken patties instead of beef. You’ll just have to have your passport ready to try it.

The inspiration for the chicken version of the Big Mac took a cue from a food hack a number of customers had grown fond of. Customers were already taking the chicken patties from their McChicken sandwiches and replacing them with the beef patties on their Big Mac. That seems like a costly way to go to enjoy a sandwich, as it requires two McChicken sandwiches to properly replace the beef on the Big Mac, unless you have a friend who really wants a McChicken without the chicken (in which case, why not just order a Quarter Pounder?), but whatever satisfies your taste buds, right?

While news of the Chicken Big Mac is coming out of Australia, it turns out the menu item is already available in other parts of the world, including Spain, the Netherlands, Egypt and Qatar. There is absolutely at least one person out there who will take it upon themselves to go on an expedition just to plop down some cash for an authentic Chicken Big Mac, even though it will be considerably cheaper to buy one Big Mac and two McChicken sandwiches at your nearby McDonald’s.

McDonald’s is also experimenting with Cheeseburger Shaker Fries. The idea of shaking your own flavors on your McDonald’s fries has existed previously, but now you can add an authentic McDonald’s cheeseburger seasoning to your fries. Again I will ask, why?

Look, I’m not against a McDonald’s cheeseburger. I am, however, taking a stand against french fries that taste like a cheeseburger. I’ll stick to dipping my fries in a frosty from Wendy’s.
