Mattress Mack Mattress Mack won a record $75 million on the Astros winning the World Series.

Mattress Mack made good on collecting his winning bets.

Mack, a luminary in Houston, cashed out on winnings he earned in the Houston AstrosWorld Series victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. Mack earned an absurd amount of money on his bets, a record amount in fact. But, no novice to the game, Mack went to Las Vegas and came prepared.

Las Vegas Review-Journal writer Todd Dewey wrote, “Mattress Mack literally left Las Vegas with a wheelbarrow full of cash.” He later wrote, “After sleeping for three hours in his free room, McIngvale went to the casino cage at 3 a.m. Friday to collect his $10 million. In cash. He then headed to the airport, where he personally loaded the stacks of cash into a wheelbarrow and then onto his private plane for the trip back to Houston.”

Quipping on if he was okay after moving the wheelbarrow, Mack said via the LVRJ, “Yes, but the wheelbarrow tire went flat. I’d never seen that much money. But you only live once. So I decided to go take a swing at it and fly home with all that cash.”

What a legend. If it isn’t his humanitarian efforts that make Mack awesome, it’s a story like this.
