I know the basics of cricket. Baseball is derived from cricket and I know that you hit a bouncing ball with a cricket bat and run from one wicket to the other. The other thing I know about cricket is that unlike baseball, you use your bare hands to catch the ball. And this one-handed catch over in Australia was extraordinary.

At some point in the match, Australia’s Steve Smith stretched out in close range to make a diving bare-handed catch to save a bunch of runs against rival New Zealand.

Even while face planting, Smith looks so great making the catch. Australia won by a score of 8/324 to 256 and I have no clue what that means but the website where I found this said Australia won and I’ll trust them.
