Here’s some unfortunate irony.

On Tuesday, a freight train car in Charles City, Iowa derailed off its tracks and ended up crashing into a bar. The name of the bar you ask? It just so happened to be called DeRailed. Yes, a derailed train car crashed into DeRailed.

I’m sure the owners of the bar weren’t hoping their namesake would lead to such cruel ironic damage. But alas, the derailed train car collided with their business. According to KCCI, Police Chief Hugh Anderson couldn’t hide how ridiculous the accident was, saying after being told about the bars name “it’s not every day you get to say that.” No kidding.

In all seriousness, nobody was injured in the crash, but an estimated $10,000 damage was caused by the accident. It appears the derailed train car, derailed future earnings at DeRailed. The crash could have been a lot worse, as it could have derailed business permanently.

When DeRailed fixes the damages caused by the train car, it might be a good omen to change the name of the bar to something like “invincible” or “impenetrable” or “please don’t crash into us.”
