Former president Donald Trump interacts with fans John Jones-USA TODAY Sports

When LIV Golf announced its initial 2024 schedule, no events were scheduled at golf courses owned by former United States President Donald Trump despite what seemed like a warm relationship between the former president and the Saudi-backed golf league. But it seems that one of Trump’s golf courses will be hosting a LIV Golf event after all.

On Friday morning, Donald Trump announced on social media that Trump National Doral in Miami will host a championship tournament for LIV Golf in April of 2024.

“TRUMP NATIONAL DORAL, in Miami, has just signed with LIV GOLF to host a Championship Tournament in April, 2024. The event they had at Doral in October was a major success!” Trump said in a post on Truth Social, the social networking website he helped create in 2020 after he was banned from both Twitter and Facebook.

LIV Golf has previously held events at several of Trump’s golf courses throughout the United States including Trump National in Bedminster, New Jersey, Trump National Doral outside Miami, and a tournament at Trump National in Potomac Falls, Virginia.

Trump has been a big supporter of LIV Golf from the beginning of the league, and it seems like that’s going to continue this year.
