mini golf

Dan Caprera has hit the road to travel across the country in hopes of finding the best miniature golf course in America.

He’s currently in the midst of a two-month trek to scavenge the nation for the best putting green. So far, his journey has brought him to many unique places.

Here he is in Texas at a 54-hole course, which is detailed with plenty of waterfalls.

Perhaps, the coolest mini course Caprera visited was the Old Pro Golf @ 68th Street in Maryland. The course designs are elaborate, including this Jurassic themed hole which features multiple dinosaurs and bones scattered throughout.

Caprera has kept details of his ambitious journey on his blog, where he goes into great depth about each course, the prices, conditions, and difficulty. It’s a fun project. He writes to email him if he’s in your area, and he’ll play 18 holes with you. That’s commitment.

Caprera wants to hit 51 golf courses total (with the extra being in Washington D.C) in his attempt to find the best mini golf course to putt in. You could find more pictures of his journey here. Once he completes his journey, Caprera will not only have an immense knowledge of U.S. mini golf courses, but he’ll have a wealth of experience from traveling the country and seeing different locations. It’s a worthwhile trip.
