Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods have recently been bonding more. The two PGA Tour stars have shared a disdain for LIV Golf and also opened a business venture for a new pro golf league. According to McIlroy, the two’s relationship has only strengthened in recent months.

McIlroy went on Golf Weekly’s Off The Ball podcast to speak about a garden variety of topics. The star golfer’s friendship with the icon was among those topics. McIlroy alluded to Woods telling him secrets he tells nobody else.

“He’s showing me things that I don’t know if he’s showing anyone else other than Charlie,” McIlroy told the podcast. Charlie refers to Tiger’s son, Charlie Woods, a hopeful golfer.

McIlroy and Woods have clearly developed a very strong bond if Tiger is sharing those kinds of secrets with him. It’s evident in how Rory and Woods have moved recently, though. The two recently announced a partnership for a new golf league called TGL. The league recently received attention after NBA champion Giannis Antetokounmpo emerged as an investor.

The two have combined for 19 major championships across their illustrious careers. Woods has 15 to his name, three behind the great Jack Nicklaus, whose 18 major championships rank higher than any golfer who ever played.

The golf world had plenty to say about the comments Rory McIlroy made about his friendship with Tiger Woods.
