Tiger Woods Tiger Woods returns to the clubhouse ahead of his tee time after warming up on the practice green during the second round of The Masters golf tournament at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga., on April 7, 2023. Pga Masters Tournament Second Round

Tiger Woods made history in making the cut at the Masters. But after the legendary golfer’s 23rd made cut at Augusta National, things soured quickly. Woods, dealing with significant knee issues, withdrew from the tournament to major fanfare. His quest for a sixth Green Jacket was forced to be prolonged further.

So, can Tiger Woods win another? Or is this a foreboding sign for the sports icon?

Everyone has had these questions for a few years now. Woods’ injuries and health issues seem to have caught up to him and are now actively haunting him.

One golf analyst thinks that when it comes to those two choices, one is far likelier than the other.

“I think there’s a greater possibility that Tiger hangs it up completely than Tiger wins again,” Jason Sobel of The Action Network said on DraftKings’ The Sweat on Tuesday.

“I would say it’s somewhat miraculous that Tiger even made the cut in the first place,” Sobel said, calling it “impressive stuff” that he made that happen.

“I don’t know how soon that’s coming, but I would suggest that we all start listening to Tiger himself if we want a little insight on what’s going on,” Sobel said before his bold declaration.

“I have finally moved to the point where I think there’s a greater probability that Tiger hangs it up completely than Tiger wins again,” he said.

Time will tell to see what decision Tiger Woods makes. But this weekend induced a lot of gloom.
