The PGA Tour took to Orlando, Florida this week for the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club and Lodge. Friday featured some extremely violent winds. However, that didn’t stop star golfer Viktor Hovland from catching the eye of the golf world with an unreal hole-in-one in his second round.
Winds gusts got up at around 30 mph on Friday, creating extremely hard scoring conditions for golfers on the course. The afternoon wave of golfers perhaps had it even worse. Despite this, Hovland was able to take advantage of hole seven in a huge way.
On the par 3 seventh hole, Hovland hit a terrific shot that trickled into the hole for a hole-in-one, just the fourth of his PGA Tour career.

Hovland quickly embraced fellow stars Will Zalatoris and Jason Day after hitting the shot, both clearly realizing the extreme amount of difficulty to do that even without the gusty conditions.
The three-time PGA Tour winner has had an uncanny ability to make hole-in-ones in his short career. His latest marks the most of any golfer on tour since the start of the 2021-22 season.
Viktor Hovland makes a hole-in-one at No. 7 (183 yards), his fourth career ace on TOUR and first since the 2022 BMW Championship (R4).

The golf world took to social media after the shot to praise Hovland for this unbelievable shot.

Unfortunately, this was the high point of Hovland’s round. He along with many others found the course extremely difficult to score at, finishing one under par on his round.
Sitting at -2, he found himself seven strokes behind leader Kurt Kitayama at the time that play was suspended in Round 2.
This excellent moment in Round 2 could help spark some hot play this weekend. Viktor Hovland has had some great success at this course before, finishing in second place at this event last year behind winner Scottie Scheffler.
