At just 11 years old, LeBron James Jr. has already been offered by big-time programs such as Duke and Kentucky, according to an ESPN.com story that was released on Monday.

The Blue Devils and Wildcats are not likely to be the only schools offering James Jr. It seems likely that Ohio State would be interested in James Jr., given the fact that James said that he would’ve liked to play for the Buckeyes if he attended college.

In 2015, James Jr.’s father said his son, who was 10 years old at the time, was already receiving scholarship offers. These offers were reported after video surfaced of James Jr. dominating in an AAU game.

And though the James family might have been flattered, James said he thought it was too early for his son to be receiving scholarship offers. James didn’t help that cause, however, when he went on to say that his son reminded him of himself at 10 years old. What college coach wouldn’t be excited after hearing that comparison?

Across all sports, schools are beginning to offer athletes at young ages. James Jr. will likely be a special case, however. His recruiting process might be like nothing we’ve ever seen before.
