Los Angeles Dodgers star Julio Urías has been arrested again on domestic violence charges.
ESPN’s Jeff Passan reported that the Los Angeles Police Department arrested the pitcher Sunday and he received felony domestic violence charges.
Urías posted $50,000 bail Monday for his release.

This is the second time the 27-year-old Urías has faced domestic violence charges during his career. After a 2019 domestic battery incident, the left-hander was placed on administrative leave and later suspended 20 games under MLB’s Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy.
Prosecutors decided not to press charges in that previous incident, after Urías agreed to several conditions, including attending a 52-week domestic violence counseling program.
An MLB suspension seems a given at this point, and it’s likely to be much longer than his previous suspension.
Urías finished third in the NL Cy Young Award voting last season after going 17-7 and leading the league in ERA (2.16). He’s struggled this year, with a 4.60 ERA in 21 starts, but has shown signs of improvement in recent weeks. He missed more than six weeks with a hamstring injury before the All-Star break. Urías will become a free agent after the season.
Fans quickly reacted to the news.

This is the 2nd incident of domestic Violence that Julio Urias has been arrested on. It’s time for MLB to suspend him immediately for the rest of the season and hopefully longer. Also time for the Dodgers to cut ties. He’s now a serial abuser.

I find it very interesting that the Dodgers were too good to employ Trevor Bauer but have employed this guy all these years. Seems a little inconsistent if you ask me!

They need to get rid of him, but I don’t see that happening.

Domestic violence is definitely nothing to play with.. It is so much of it going on. I just hope whatever was behind the situation that everyone involved is safe and get the help that they need..
This hits home. I lost a brother to domestic violence
