A Minor League Baseball game was interrupted by a playful dog on Wednesday night at Sahlen Field in Buffalo, NY.
Rookie the Bat Dog ran onto the field when a pitch was about to be thrown in the bottom of the first inning of a Triple-A game between the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (Philadelphia Phillies affiliate) and Buffalo Bisons (Toronto Blue Jays affiliate).

The Golden Retriever usually serves as Bat Dog for the Trenton Thunder, but he was in Buffalo on Wednesday because A) it was “dog day” at the ballpark, and B) Buffalo played home games in Trenton earlier this season, so he got a chance to visit his Bisons friends.
I made it up to Buffalo to see my frens with @BuffaloBisons. The walkway to the dugout is really nice. pic.twitter.com/DJ3VnBabnH

Tonight was a lot of fun, being with @BuffaloBisons. I loved being able to go all over the stadium and giving out my baseball card to the fans, especially the kids. pic.twitter.com/jPqFLdxBt3

Even with Wednesday’s hiccup, Rookie is still a very good boy.
