Joc Pederson will remain in the National League West.
According to MLB.com’s Steve Gilbert, the Arizona Diamondbacks and Pederson agreed to a one-year deal with a mutual option for the 2025 season.

Pederson spent the last two seasons with the Giants.
In 2022 he earned his second career All-Star selection after slashing .274/.353/.521 with 23 home runs and 70 RBI in 134 games.
Prior to his stint with San Francisco, he spent seven seasons with the team’s division rivals, the Los Angeles Dodgers and split time between the Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves in 2021.
Last season, he finished his 2023 campaign with a .764 OPS and 15 homers.
The Diamondbacks bring Pederson on to fill the designated hitter and outfielder role to add to a series of moves the team has already made this offseason.
The team added left-handed pitcher Eduardo Rodríguez and re-signed outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr fresh off a World Series trip.
In November, Arizona acquired infielder Eugenio Suárez in a trade for reliever Carlos Vargas and catcher Seby Zavala.
Diamondbacks general manager Mike Hazen said at the winter meetings that one of the main priorities was to bring a bat to plug in at DH. They had lacked a thunder bat in the past, and with Pederson being on the team now, they’re more than comfortable having all left-handed outfielders.
He looks to share those responsibilities with 2023 NL Rookie of the Year Corbin Carroll and Alek Thomas.
