The Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts were no-hit Saturday. However, they somehow won their game against the Rocket City Trash Pandas in a truly bizarre game.
The Lookouts didn’t win 1-0 or by a similar score, something baseball fans have seen before. They won 7-5. To make the outcome even more ridiculous, all the runs were scored in the final inning with two outs.
Frankly, scoring seven runs on no hits with two outs seems a more amazing feat than tossing a no-hitter, but that’s a debate for another day.
The Chattanooga Lookouts (Reds) just beat the Rocket City Trash Pandas (Angels) 7-5 in Double-A action.

The Lookouts, were being shut out on the no-hitter by Rocket City, an Angels affiliate, until two outs in the seventh and final inning. How do you score seven runs with no hits after two outs in an inning? Three Lookouts batters walked, but Rocket City picked up two outs. Then disaster struck for Rocket City. They walked in a run, then a fielding error allowed three runs to score. Three straight batters were hit by a pitch, followed by a walk, another wild pitch, then another HBP.
It’s the kind of inning we’ve all seen before, in youth baseball, but probably not in pro ball.
Baseball fans who came across this story or the box score did a double take.

@jaysonst this HAS to be in your next Weird and Wild piece. Any idea if anything like it's happened before?
