Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins has quietly been one of the most underrated players in baseball over the past few seasons. He showed that off yet again with a spectacular performance on Friday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Mullins started slowly by getting out in his first at-bat. He would quickly pick things up starting with his next time at the plate.

He would quickly pick things up in his next three at-bats with a single in the third inning, a triple in the fifth inning, and a double in the seventh inning.

Mullins was on cycle alert when he came to the plate in the ninth inning, only needing a home run to complete the rare accomplishment.

It was a key moment in the game with runners on 1st and third with two outs. Mullins capped off his extremely impressive game by completing the cycle with a home-run deep to right field.

The home crowd took notice of this special moment for Mullins, acknowledging his cycle with a standing ovation as he took the field in the top of the ninth inning.

It is just the second time that someone has hit for the cycle this season, and only the seventh since the Orioles moved to Baltimore in 1954.

More importantly, this timely home run would help propel the Orioles to a 6-3 victory over the Pirates. Many took notice of Mullins’ special day and praised him on social media.

This win for Baltimore continues their impressive season and puts them to 25-13 on the year.
