Orioles celebration Credit: MASN/Cut4

The Baltimore Orioles are a lot of fun right now. So when the team busted out a new celebration, it wasn’t surprising that it was pretty funny too.

Austin Hays stood up to bat against the Oakland A’s on Tuesday night in the leadoff spot. A hot hitter right now, Hays smoked a hit into left field and reached second base safely with a double.

The Oriole outfielder then could be seen putting his hand on his head. He stuck his arm out and pretended to mimic a sprinkler. The results were absolutely hilarious. Players in the dugout could be seen spitting water out of their mouths in synchronized fashion!

“Come for the hit, stay for the celly,” Cut4 said. And it was a good thing we did.

The video went viral quickly and has racked up significant views on Twitter. In just over 10 minutes, the video’s already fetched nearly 36,000 views.

Many reacted to the hilarious celebration.

“Love my O’s,” Robby Kalland tweeted.

Elsewhere, “Dudes rock,” Brian Floyd tweeted.

“Good times are back in Birdland,” one Oriole fan declared.

“The sprinklers are on at Camden Yards!” CBS 13 WJZ Sports tweeted.

“Sometimes the caption undersells what you’re about to see, and this is one of those times,” another fan tweeted.

Going to be tough to beat that celebration this year.
