The 2022 season has been rough for the Cincinnati Reds thus far. But on Tuesday night, a Reds fan provided one of the season’s best moments.

A foul ball went into the crowd. A fan reached up over the head of the fan sitting in front of him and caught the ball with one hand. That, on its own, is a cool moment. But when you see why he only used one hand to catch the ball, it gets even better.

He used one hand to catch the ball because his other hand was needed to feed the baby who was strapped to his chest. Not only was the ball caught but by all appearances, the bottle never left the baby’s lips, even for a half-second.

This dad earned some serious love on Twitter from baseball fans all over the place.

At this point, “sign him up” is the obvious comment to make here. It does make sense. After all, the Reds entered Tuesday’s game at 3-13. They can definitely use that kind of talent and focus on the roster. Still, we’re not going to make that joke.

Did you see that catch he made? There is absolutely no way that Cincinnati’s front office would be willing to fork over the kind of money it would take to get that talent onto the field.
