Major League Baseball will take its World Tour to another level in 2024. While an MLB game was earmarked for London again, that’s not all the league has planned. MLB made significant news on Wednesday with a massive announcement that they plan on going on a ‘World Tour.’

“MLB will take its MLB World Tour to four different countries outside the United States and Canada throughout 2024,” The Comeback’s Jessica Kleinschmidt tweeted. Kleinschmidt included the key details: That MLB will travel to England, Mexico again, and then also to the Dominican Republic and South Korea.

In March, the D.R. will host two spring training games between the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays. The games will take place on March 10 and 11. Then, the Los Angeles Dodgers will play the San Diego Padres twice in Seoul, South Korea on March 20 and 21.

The previously announced London series between the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies were re-affirmed, as was the return of the Mexico Series. 2024’s edition will feature the Colorado Rockies and the Houston Astros.

Taking the game around the globe is an easy move for MLB to make, so doing it is an easy way to get a good reaction. That they’re going to unique places like the Dominican Republic for spring training games and South Korea will make for even more excitement. The D.R. game, in particular, will be fun, as since it’s knee-deep into spring training, players who might not otherwise get an opportunity to make a mark will have that launching pad.
