An 18-inning game isn’t easy on anyone, and especially isn’t easy on a kid who just wants his Pittsburgh Pirates to win.

The Nats Park crowd began to dissipate for Sunday’s game between the Pirates and Washington Nationals, but one kid stayed around, and the TV cameras were able to catch his triumphs and trials of an 18-inning game:

He dealt with the roller coaster of emotions, and he ultimately got the last laugh as Pittsburgh took a 2-1 lead on a Starling Marte bomb in the top of the 18th:

The Pirates won, and he got to jump into someone’s arms as if he won the World Series. Baseball can only hope kids are this excited about the sport all the time.
