Kobe Bryant’s death in a helicopter accident has cast an incredibly long shadow over the world of sports, especially as the news continues to get worse. So far games are continuing, with the first afternoon game between the Nuggets and Rockets featuring a moment of silence.

The Raptors and Spurs had a bit more time before their game tipped, and they came up with an even more fitting way to honor Bryant: both teams took 24-second clock violations after the opening tip to honor Bryant’s #24.

If games are played this evening, expect to see more tributes like it, too.
