Former San Antonio Spurs and Milwaukee Bucks guard Bryn Forbes was arrested early Wednesday morning after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend. According to the San Antonio Express-News, Forbes was arrested at La Cantera Resort & Spa on suspicion of assault and bodily injury. The 29-year-old was arrested and charged with family violence.

Police informed the Express-News that Forbes became upset with his girlfriend while they were out for Valentine’s Day. The altercation turned violent when they returned to the San Antonio-based resort with Forbes allegedly striking the woman multiple times.

Forbes is a former NBA guard, who is currently a free agent. He played with the Spurs from 2016-20 and later joined the Bucks. He would return to San Antonio for the 2021-22 season but would later be traded in a three-team trade involving the Boston Celtics.

He most recently played with the Minnesota Timberwolves, who waived Forbes back on Feb. 9. Forbes averaged 3.6 points/game in 25 games played this season. His release from the Timberwolves is unrelated to his arrest, as the alleged incident occurred a week later in San Antonio.
