The Clippers just wanted to let everyone know despite Blake Griffin punching a team equipment staffer in the face, everything is all better now. Griffin recently apologized for his actions in the media, and now the two have shared some awkward public dap.

See? Everything is fine now, and this picture was definitely not staged. There is no way such a candidly loving moment could be anything but organic.

The thing is, Matias Testi, the man Griffin punched, looks pretty unhappy to be greeting Griffin in this photo. His begrudging expression could be the result of an awkwardly still-swollen face due to, well getting punched by a 6-10, 250 lb. professional athlete. However, the guy next to Testi seems to be a dead giveaway. His expression is one of incredulity and unease, perhaps not what the Clippers intend show as traits of their “family,” but actually sums up the last few years of the Clippers rather well.

Luckily, Twitter also noticed the awkwardness and had some fun in response to this tweet.

Twitter also did not forget this is yet another chapter in a long tradition of awkward Blake Griffin sideline interactions with team staffers.

The Clippers definitely took the loss on social media last night, but at least the team fared better on the court, defeating the Spurs 105-86.
