Given that Riley Curry is the universally agreed-upon cutest kid ever, she’ll probably have plenty of toddler suitors come Valentine’s Day. That’s why four-year-old Lucas Nunes is getting a jump on the competition.

Lucas attended Wednesday’s Golden State Warriors game with a sign asking Riley, of press-conference-interrupting fame, to be his Valentine.

Here’s Lucas sporting an anxious half-smile as he shows off his sign.

Here’s the young lovebird on the video board, professing his affection publicly.

Here he is poking his head around a corner as he waits for Steph Curry, the father of his crush.

And here he is getting a solid “maybe” from Riley’s dad.

Now, we should probably mention that it’s a liiiittle weird to imagine Lucas’ parents or some other adult making this sign. We wouldn’t have faulted Steph for being a bit creeped out by a stranger voicing his love for his three-year-old daughter. But Steph took it well, and Lucas may or may not have himself a Valentine.
