During Monday night’s NBA Western Conference Playoff matchup between the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings, Warriors star Draymond Green went viral for all the wrong reasons when he violently stomped on the chest of Kings All-Star Domantas Sabonis in what appeared to be an intentional act. And now it sounds like the Kings fear that Sabonis has a serious injury.
Following the game, which the Kings won by a score of 114-106, NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported that Sabonis was undergoing x-rays to determine if he suffered a serious injury to his ribs or lungs.
“Sacramento Kings All-Star Domantas Sabonis is undergoing X-rays on his ribs/lungs, sources tell ESPN. Sabonis is getting evaluated after Draymond Green stepped on him in Game 2,” Woj said in a tweet.

Green was issued a flagrant 2 foul as a result of the play after officials went to the monitor, resulting in Green’s ejection from the game – which proved to be a pivotal moment in the game as the Kings ultimately won the game with a strong fourth quarter.
The Kings have a 2-0 lead in the series, but the injury concerns to Sabonis will be massive for the team going forward as he is a crucial part of their success.
