Things are about to get uglier between Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka and his ex, actress Nia Long. As some may recall, the pair broke up last year as it was revealed that Udoka, who was the head coach of the Boston Celtics at the time, was having an affair with a Celtics staffer.
The pair were engaged for a long time and share an 11-year-old son. Now Long is filing court papers asking for full custody of their son. Long is accusing Udoka of not supporting their son.
Long did ask the judge to allow Udoka a reasonable opportunity to visit their kid to the extent “consistent with the child’s best interest.”
The actress did speak on the affair last year saying how devastated she and her son were by the whole ordeal and she also blamed the Boston Celtics for the way they handled the situation.
The Celtics were the ones who revealed publicly what had happened instead of keeping the information in-house. The organization was also dragged by several members of the media for allowing this to go public.
Udoka was out of coaching for a year before the Houston Rockets hired him as their new head coach. Udoka had taken the Celtics to the NBA Finals in his final year there.
He has yet to respond to Long’s allegations.
