Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. is in stable condition after being hit by a car outside his home in Philadelphia’s City Center on Saturday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported.
Oubre is expected to miss “significant time” due to injuries suffered in the accident, but the injuries aren’t considered to be season-ending, per Wojnarowski.
It’s unclear what injuries Oubre suffered.

Oubre signed with the Sixers in September and has started five of Philadelphia’s eight games, averaging 29 minutes per game. He has also averaged 16.3 points and 5.1 rebounds per game so far this season.
Originally drafted by the Washington Wizards in the 2015 NBA Draft, Oubre spent his first three-and-a-half seasons with the Wizards before being traded to the Phoenix Suns in 2018 for Trevor Ariza.
After spending two seasons in Phoenix, Oubre also spent time with the Golden State Warriors and Charlotte Hornets before coming to Philadelphia.
In his career, Oubre is averaging 12.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. After the 76ers traded PJ Tucker in the James Harden, Oubre joined the starting lineup where he has remained. The 76ers will now likely have to turn to a combination of Nicolas Batum and Paul Reed in an effort to replace Oubre’s production.
The 76ers return to action Sunday evening when they host the Indiana Pacers, who they will then play again Tuesday.
