There has been some discussion that the relationship between Los Angeles Lakers stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis isn’t a good one.

But the two Laker stars appeared to dispute that this week.

In fact, Davis told ESPN that he and James have  “One of the best relationships I think in the NBA as far as duos or teammates, regardless.”

But Davis also thinks the public and NBA fans, in general, don’t see that.

“They don’t see the stuff we do off the court and the time we hang out with each other. They see on-court stuff.”

Matter of fact, James posted a video recently on Instagram to address the rumors about the duo’s relationship with a caption that said:

“YEAAAAAHHHH WOE!! We hear all the chatter going on behind our backs but then they wanna smile in our faces when they see us!!

The rumors may have started when James broke the NBA’s all-time scoring record and Davis was noticeably sitting down when James was being honored.

Davis said it was nothing personal, he was upset that his team was losing at the time.

“I mean, we’re losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder, a game we needed,” Davis said. “And I was pissed off that we were losing. It’s that simple. … Everybody else is outside looking in, it’s their opinion. But I was pissed off that we were losing the game.”

Since LeBron has been out due to an injury, Davis has basically taken over and the Lakers have played much better as a team.

Time will tell if his return will affect the team’s chemistry.
