LeBron James slowly but surely is beginning to build up goodwill around the league and country. Early on in his career, he was branded as young and selfish. Most recently though, he has been philanthropic to an extreme. He is not only donating to big projects, but he is also giving smaller gifts that many won’t notice.

He decided that he was going to give new gear to a team that just won a state title in basketball. It wasn’t something insignificant either, as he gave them all brand new shoes and shirts, while even including a championship banner as well.

One hundred out of one hundred times this type of gesture isn’t done by a pro athlete, and it takes attention to detail. It remains unlikely that the player himself made the suggestion, but the fact that anyone on his “team” is on the lookout for these types of opportunities is amazing.

The photos of the team getting the gear will make your day.

Many will assume that this team is in Northeast Ohio and he is taking care of his own. The team is actually the Benton Cardinals, located in St. Joseph, Missouri. It may seem random but that seems to be James’ goal – promote random acts of kindness and the world will bless you right back.

Not a bad strategy from King James.
