LeBron James and his family seemly can breathe a sigh of relief after the scare they received Monday after their son Bronny went into cardiac arrest during a practice Monday at USC.

Thankfully, the doctors were able to save his life and now according to his father, he is on the road to recovery.

“I want to thank the countless people sending my family love and prayers. We feel you and I’m so grateful,” the NBA star tweeted on Thursday. “Everyone doing great. We have our family together, safe and healthy, and we feel your love. Will have more to say when we’re ready but I wanted to tell everyone how much your support has meant to all of us! #JamesGang.”

While James looks like he will rebound from this, there still has been no word of what could have caused him to pass out.

But according to one doctor, there are several factors that could have contributed to this incident.

“Number one, he is of male gender. Number two, he is an African American male and number three, basketball,” Dr. Evelina Grayver MD, FACC, Director, Women’s Heart Program, Northwell Health explained to Entertainment Tonight. “So, those three factors increase risk of actually having a cardiac arrest, despite being a very healthy top-shape tough athlete.

Although all those factors may have contributed to Bronny James’ condition, his doctors still haven’t confirmed as of yet his condition or if he will be able to play again.
