Game recognizes game.

In Texas, the Rangers are coming off a World Series win. Outfielder Adolis García was courtside for the Dallas Mavericks game on Tuesday where he and four-time All-Star Luka Dončić swapped signed jerseys. The ultimate sign of respect.

The two finished it off with some photo opps and smiles.

While García wasn’t able to finish on the main roster, he certainly made an impact. He missed the first two games due to injury.

Across 15 games (AL wild-card, division/championship series, and three games of the World Series), García finished the postseason slashing .323/.382/.726 with a 1.108 OPS and eight home runs. His 22 RBI was a playoff record.

He earned a 2023 ALCS MVP.

Dončić, despite dealing with a hand injury, is putting up a career-best 39.4 percent. Following Saturday’s 107-88 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, he was averaging 30.5 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7.8 assists.

Dončić was available on Tuesday night against the Houston Rockets and appeared in good spirits when he met up with García. He also attended the Rangers Game 2 World Series game where Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki also made an appearance.

The Rangers lost that game and Dončić said it was Nowitzki’s fault.

“Rangers 2-1. When I don’t go to the game, they win. But, actually, that’s Dirk’s fault. Blame it on Dirk, not me.”

Obviously, the Rangers completely forgot about that part.
