Pikachu dog Credit: cjzero Twitter

You truly never know what you’re going to come across in this world. That was very apparent on Monday night at an NBA game in Minnesota. A dog that closely resembled the world-famous Pokemon character Pikachu was spotted in the crowd.

Yes, that’s absolutely what happened. On Bally Sports North’s broadcast of the Minnesota Timberwolves – Miami Heat game, cameras picked up a dog that looked exactly like Pikachu.

Its owner appeared to have painted the dog yellow with the signature red cheeks on it as well. See for yourself, courtesy of the NBA on ESPN’s Instagram account. The account posted, “They really dyed their dog like Pikachu.” No, really, they did.

So much to say… so much to react to. In short, the Pikachu dog has to rank as one of the most ridiculous things in 2022. And that list grows exponentially by the day almost.

Not surprisingly, the Pikachu dog went viral on Monday night. And Twitter was all over it.

Twitter user @rondarouseyszn truly said it best, “Oh. My. God.”

Hoop Magazine’s Josh Eberley summed up the thoughts of many, most likely. “This foul and gross, man,” Eberley tweeted.

Chris Walder then continued with similar thoughts. “Poor dog,” he tweeted.

Finally, we’ll leave it up to the commentator in the video. “I don’t think the dog signed off on that paint job,” he said.

You think!?
