Shaquille O'Neal

NBA Hall of Fame center Shaquille O’Neal revealed that he is “jealous” of LeBron James due to him potentially breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s NBA record for the most points in NBA history next season.

O’Neal discussed the record during an appearance on the Impaulsive Podcast, where he commended James for his longevity over his career.

“LeBron is about to do something that hasn’t been done in a long time,” said O’Neal. “To pass up Kareem Abdul Jabbar, I can truly say that I am jealous of that feat. I wanted to pass up Wilt (Chamberlain) because then I was going to arrogantly say that I am the most dominant big man ever.”

He did add that despite James potentially breaking this record next season, he believes that Michael Jordan will still be the greatest player of all time.

“He was the only man that had me terrified on the court,” O’Neal added. “All the sh** that you see on Your posters, he is doing them in real life.”

People who believe LeBron is the best player ever will certainly have their stake in any argument if he is able to break Kareem’s record for the most points ever.

This is typically a debate where people have a stance that is unbreakable on the side of either Jordan or LeBron being the best, so don’t expect O’Neal to change his mind anytime soon.

Regardless, it is nice to see Shaquille O’Neal giving James his props where they are deserved.
