It appears to be increasingly clear that San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama will be one of the most entertaining players to watch this coming season. And highlights like the one he produced on Wednesday night against the Houston Rockets only prove that to be true.

Wembanyama stands at 7’4″, but possesses the skill of a player a foot shorter than him. He can not only shoot the ball like a guard but also appears to have ball-handling skills that are unparalleled for someone of his size.

A great example of this came on Wednesday night when Wembanyama amazed NBA fans by dribbling through the legs of Rockets forward Reggie Bullock on his way to the basket.

It’s truly absurd to see someone of his size pulling out this kind of dribbling move. And fans clearly took notice of this, singing Wembanyama’s praises on social media.

The unofficial term for what Wembanyama did dribbling through Bullock’s legs is referred to as a nutmeg. The move is typically used on very rare occasions, and almost always comes from a smaller guard on a bigger defender.

There are still some very clear questions about Wembanyama as a player that still need to be answered. Will more muscular big men be able to bully him around? Will Wembanyama’s body be able to hold up over an 82-game regular season?

Those things obviously remain to be seen. But it is very clear that Victor Wembanyama is a special talent who has some skills that NBA fans have rarely ever seen before.
