Rule No. 1: Never tweet.

If you have to tweet, try not to do it like Cavaliers fan named Moe Wahdan, lest you want to be unemployed and looking at a future where Google searches of your name are your enemy for all of time.

Wahdan noticed that Steph Curry’s sister Sydel had tweeted about her arrival in Cleveland before Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the Cavs and Golden State Warriors.

As trolls are wont to do, he tweeted Sydel to let her know that she and her family should “get the fuck out of Cleveland” while also making an obscene remark about Steph Curry’s daughter Riley.

Unfortunately for Wahdan, Sydel noticed and shared his comments with the world.

Soon, word started getting back to Wahden’s employer, real estate agency Holton Wise.

You know what happened next…

Wahdan didn’t back down despite losing his gig, taking credit for the Cavaliers loss in Game 3 and getting into it with Sydel Curry following the game. Instead of deleting his account, he’s reveling in the attention.

Wahdan might be enjoying his 15 minutes but he doesn’t seem to be taking into account the long-term effects. Google searches of his name will bring up this event and his reaction to it for the rest of his life (unless he hires an expensive search engine sweeping firm). He better hope no future employers see what he’s up to online the next time he submits an application. Internet muscles only get you so far.
