Steph Curry injured himself on Wednesday night and Thursday’s diagnosis wasn’t good for the NBA superstar.

Curry will miss “a few weeks” after he injured his left shoulder in the Warriors‘ 125-119 loss to the Indiana Pacers. NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news of Curry’s injury on Thursday afternoon and his employer, ESPN, tweeted the story as well.

They wrote, “Warriors star Steph Curry is expected to miss ‘a few weeks’ with a left shoulder injury, sources told @wojespn.”

The Warriors have had it rough this season. Golden State is 14-15 this season and that’s been with the multi-time NBA MVP in their lineup. The defending NBA Champions have lacked the punch they have had in recent years and now without their star, Golden State faces an extremely uphill battle.

Reactions from around the league poured in after news of the star’s injury broke. Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News lamented the injury and one consequence. “Steph Curry will miss his annual trip to the Garden on Tuesday,” Bondy tweeted. “Sucks. It’s always a big event.”

Next, similar thoughts were expressed by Vivek Jacob of Raptors.com. Jacobs tweeted, “I miss seeing Steph Curry play in Toronto. He’s had some special performances in this building.”

Elsewhere, SportsGrid’s Kevin Walsh Jr. pointed out their schedule and how they’d look without Curry. Walsh Jr. said, “It seems like Steph Curry will miss all these games. The Warriors will be underdogs in at least half of them. The Dubs look destined for the play-in.”

Lastly, longtime NBA reporter Tom Haberstroh tweeted, “Needless to say, Stephen Curry being out for an extended time will hurt the Warriors. But just how much?” and then displayed some startling statistics.

UPDATE (5 p.m. ET): Shams Charania reported that Curry suffered “a labral injury in his let shoulder and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.”
