Victor Wembanyama looks huge on a basketball court, but he seems positively Jurassic at a baseball stadium.

The 7-3 French phenom, who is expected to be selected by the San Antonio Spurs with the No. 1 pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft, visited Yankee Stadium Tuesday. He threw out the first pitch for the game against the Seattle Mariners, but before that, he got the grand tour of the stadium, meeting players, fans and others.

And he held a baseball. Wow, did he hold a baseball. In an image Wembanyama shared on Instagram that quickly went viral, his hand encircles a baseball like a normal person holding a golf ball.

Even a baseball bat looked tiny in his massive hands and arms.

The basketball star obviously towered over everyone he met. Here he is talking with Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman.

Wembanyama’s visit went great … at least until he had to throw that first pitch. Wemby actually did a semi-windup and looked good on the mound, but his pitch was, as Bob Uecker said in Major League, “Juuuust a bit outside.”

Some of the reactions to Wembanyama’s visit to Yankee Stadium were priceless.
