Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green has been known to toe the line when it comes to being considered a dirty player. But a recent cheap shot on Tuesday left the NBA no choice but to send down disciplinary actions to Green, and this time it happens to be quite significant.

Green was ejected from Tuesday’s game against the Phoenix Suns after getting tangled up with Jusuf Nurkić, leading to Green throwing a punch at him that connected.

This is obviously unacceptable and nowhere near anything that resembles a play that should happen in basketball. It’s also the latest of several violent altercations that Green has been in this year alone.

Green was involved in an incident just last month where he was seen choking Minnesota Timberwolves star center Rudy Gobert, which he was issued a five-game suspension for.

He was also famously involved in an incident where he punched then-teammate Jordan Poole in an offseason practice video that was then leaked on social media and went viral.

Green clearly hasn’t learned his lesson, and the NBA is now taking significant action against him. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Green has been issued an indefinite suspension by the NBA.

This obviously leaves Green without a clear timetable on when he will step on the court again for the Warriors. But most fans were pleased by this decision considering just how violent his latest altercation truly was.

It seems like the Warriors organization is taking this quite seriously. Wojnarowski added that Green is expected to meet with Warriors GM Mike Dunleavy Jr. and his agent Rich Paul on Thursday. In that meeting, they are expected to discuss counseling to help Green control his temper moving forward.

Hopefully Green can fix his attitude on the court moving forward. Because when he is in the right frame of mind, he is obviously one of the most versatile players in NBA history.
