The college football world has been speculating for months where coveted five-star recruit Arch Manning will commit.

Manning currently sits as the top recruit in the 2023 recruiting class and has certainly garnered a ton of attention across the country from top football programs. It appears that Texas and Alabama remain the most likely landing spot for Manning going forward, with Georgia shortly behind in the recruiting battle.

However, it looks like Manning wants to weigh all of his options and it has been reported that he will be visiting an unlikely school on Friday.

According to 247 Sports, Manning is visiting the University of Virginia on Friday. While on the surface this seems unexpected considering Virginia isn’t traditionally known as a football powerhouse, he has a ton of connections within his family at the school.

Arch’s sister, mother, and aunt all went to school at Virginia, making them an interesting dark horse to potentially land Manning going forward.

It still remains very likely that he ends up at a school like Alabama or Texas, and the rich will get richer, but the possibility of Manning going to a far less prestigious football program and trying to lead them to success is certainly an exciting, albeit unlikely, possibility.

Whoever ends up landing Manning in the coming months will be getting one of the most hyped prospects in some time given his last name, and the talent that he has shown to go along with that.
