The Florida State Seminoles made a statement on Thursday: The ACC is theirs in the world of college softball.

FSU went into Clemson and not only shut the team out, not only dominated on the scoreboard but scored a hugely impressive statement win. They snapped the Tigers’ 29-home game winning streak with a strong 7-0 victory.

Ranked 6th in the country, the Seminoles are already among the nation’s best. But Clemson is too and they stuck with the ‘Noles neck and neck so far. But Round 1 of this pivotal ACC series went to Florida State.

FSU is now an impressive 30-7 this college softball season. They have now won five games in a row and remain as one of the top contenders in the country to make it to the Women’s College World Series.

The college softball world reacted to the shocking statement win by the Noles.

FSU was jazzed up all afternoon about it. They pointed out the shocking fact that Michaela Edenfield homered off star Tiger pitcher Valerie Cagle.

An excited fan pointed out that Edenfield was the first person all season to homer off Cagle.

The ACC Network boasted about FSU’s impressive win which snapped their ACC rival’s lengthy home-game winning streak.

And the NCAA Softball account said that FSU brought the heat.
