The first year of Deion Sanders coaching the Colorado Buffaloes was always going to be on of the most interesting storylines of the college football season.

We got our first look on how the Buffaloes would respond under “Coach Prime,” after going 1-11 last season and losing more than 40 players to the transfer portal upon his arrival in Boulder.

The Buffaloes matched their 2022 season total on Saturday by defeating TCU Horned Frogs, last year’s national champion runner-ups, 45-42, in Fort Worth, Texas.

That outcome might have been written on the stars given the fiery sermon Sanders delivered to his team before the game.

“When we started this journey, we told you it was gon’ be trying, it was gon’ be tough, but you endured. Because it’s about us,” Sanders said in part. “That man next to you is a miracle. That man next to you is a believer. That man next to you is a go getter. That man next to you is a dog. That man next to you somebody who want this thing. That man next to you is somebody who believes. That man next to you gots to have it today!”

The players immediately responded to the message.

“We here!” the players responded.

The CFB world was quick to react to the fiery speech by Coach Prime:
