Harbaugh Clinton rally

Jim Harbaugh was among the #ImWithHer crowd on Monday (well, at least physically) at Ray Fisher Stadium.

The Michigan football coach canceled his press availability to watch President Barack Obama speak at a rally in Ann Arbor, reports the Detroit Free Press. Harbaugh was reportedly invited to the event by President Obama, and the khaki-wearing Wolverines coach sat in the audience at the Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign rally.

Harbaugh took pictures with those in attendance.

Oh hello coach Harbaugh!

Obama even gave him a nice shout-out on his team’s 9-0 record.

Harbaugh hasn’t officially endorsed a candidate. It’s unfair to assume he’s voting for Clinton solely because he attended the rally. If POTUS asks you to attend an event, regardless of your political beliefs, you should probably attend. Harbaugh might be a Clinton supporter, but putting that out publicly, especially in a purple state, doesn’t benefit him much in football circles. Funnily enough, he’s drawn plenty comparisons to Donald Trump in the past in terms of his recruiting tactics.

I wouldn’t read too much into Harbaugh’s attendance, other than it’s great to see him answer the call of POTUS and publicly support the democratic process.
