While the current Ohio State Buckeyes football team is preparing for the start of the 2022-23 football season, one former Ohio State player is in serious trouble with the law.

According to 1oTV, former Ohio State defensive back Marcus Williamson was arrested by the Memphis Police Department for kidnapping, robbing, and carjacking a woman in Tennessee.

A woman told the Memphis Police Department that Williamson carjacked and kidnapped her, stealing her wallet and phone, according to an affidavit obtained by 10TV. The woman said Williamson forced her to drive him to an ATM and demanded that she withdraw $500, which he then stole from her. Following the encounter, Williamson stole her car.

The following day, police found Williamson driving the stolen vehicle and arrested him once he exited the vehicle at a car wash to throw items in a dumpster.

A top-200 prospect coming out of high school, Williamson spent five seasons with the Buckeyes from 2017 to 2021. During his stint at Ohio State, he started 14 games in the Buckeyes’ secondary between the 2020 and 2021 seasons

According to Shelby County Sheriff’s Office records, obtained by Eleven Warriors, Williamson has been charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, one count of aggravated kidnapping, and one count of tampering with or fabricating evidence.
