The Michigan Wolverines defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes in consecutive seasons for the first time since the late 1990s.

The Wolverines will look to continue that newfound success against their rivals this season in Ann Arbor.

Michigan legendary receiver Braylon Edwards thinks that run of success will continue, saying that the program is “falling apart” under head coach Ryan Day.

“They (Ohio State) are a team that cannot beat Michigan,” Edwards said on the Woodward Sports Network. “They are a team that in the second half — even in the first half — they struggle to beat Michigan. They struggled in the trenches. Michigan and Jim Harbaugh have built this team in the trenches. Lineman on the offensive side, two years in a row they have won (the Joe Moore Award). On the opposite side on the defensive line, two years in a row they’ve had studs that have dominated Ohio State.

“This is where I say it’s over. It’s not just that they are beating Ohio State. They are having their way with Ohio State. It’s not even interesting in the second half if you will anymore. Especially in the fourth quarter. The Ohio State fans, they are off on Ryan Day, and the kids just look like they are trying to get to the NFL.”

Edwards went on to say that though Ohio State continues to put players in the NFL, that list is getting shorter.

“They get (players drafted), but (the list) is shortening, shortening, shortening and shortening. They used to have three DBs in the first round and a couple of linemen. You had the Bosas and Chase Young. You are not having that anymore. That program is falling apart, and recruits can see it.”
