Oklahoma softball star Tiare Jennings had a birthday to remember. The Sooner slugger celebrated her big day in the best possible way: With a victory! Oklahoma defeated Stanford in an epic nine-inning game, and Jennings delivered the game-winning hit.
The Cardinal and the Sooners walked a tightrope for multiple innings and didn’t flinch. Jennings stood in the batter’s box with runners on the corners, and the score tied at 2. But Oklahoma will inevitably rise to the top, as they’ve proven over their 51-game winning streak. The birthday girl made sure they would, as she smoked a two-run, go-ahead double!
The double also was a record-setting hit. As she drove in two runs, Jennings tied the record for most career RBI in the Women’s College World Series. As commentator Kevin Brown said, “the INEVITABLE Oklahoma machine” finally came through, and the birthday girl did it!
"Can she find that magic moment…? Yes, she can!
Jennings ties the World Series RBI record on the happiest of birthdays!

Jennings has enjoyed a celebrated career at Oklahoma, to say the very least. She and the Sooners have dominated the sport with their 51-game winning streak, which includes the 2021 and 2022 Women’s College World Series championships.
Oklahoma Softball moved into the Championship Series with their big victory on Monday. They will take on the winner of Florida State-Tennessee in a Best of 3 to go for a three-peat at the WCWS.
