Mike Gundy mullet

Nobody means business as much as Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy, especially in the back.

Gundy rocks one heck of a look on the sidelines for the Cowboys. His style brings the worst of two different generations. Gundy represents the wild times of the 80’s with his stylish mullet, yet brings the worst and most restrained look with his 90s visor. The combination shouldn’t work, but Gundy wears the look loud and proud.

The University is embracing Gundy’s Tennessee top hat, creating a line of shirts based on the mullet. College Football Talk reports for $24.99, you can get a t-shirt with the school’s logo and Gundy’s visor and vibrant Kentucky waterfall. For $29.99, you can get a long-sleeved version.

Gundy doubts his mullets legitimacy, saying he doesn’t have shoulder length hair or luscious curly locks.

“It’s not a real mullet,” Gundy said back in mid-July. “A real mullet has to be at least shoulder length and you’ve got to have some curls in it.”

Gundy’s mullet definitely walks the line in terms of length, but judging from pictures, he clearly has one. This image from Sports Illustrated scientifically proves it.

The team is selling mullet merchandise, so it’s time Gundy embraces the meme and proudly declares his hairdo as such. There’s nothing wrong with being different. If anything, Gundy committing to the mullet long-term means Cowboys players know for sure their coach, like his mullet, means business. (groans)
