Since being traded to the 49ers, Christian McCaffrey has hit the ground running in San Francisco and hasn’t stopped. The All-Pro running back has managed to stay healthy in his return to the Bay Area and currently leads all running backs in the NFL with 459 total yards. That’s nearly 100 more than the second-leading rusher in D’Andre Swift, who has rushed for 364 yards this season.
McCaffrey had another great game against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4. In the team’s 35-16 victory, the 27-year-old running back rushed for 106 yards on 20 carries with three rushing touchdowns. McCaffrey also hauled in seven passes for 71 yards and a touchdown. His four total touchdowns would have been enough to beat Arizona himself.
For his efforts, McCaffrey has been honored as the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Week.

As Pro Football Talk notes, it’s just McCaffrey’s second Player of the Week honor. He was named the NFC’s Player of the Week in Week 8 of the 2022 NFL season.
The NFL world was quick to react to the major honor for the 49ers’ running back.

McCaffrey is the most productive running back in the NFL so far this season. He has rushed for more yards (459) and touchdowns (6) than any other player at his position, and he also leads the league in yards from scrimmage.
