Los Angeles Rams star defensive tackle Aaron Donald had his 2022 season cut short by an ankle injury. But it sounds like he’s been putting in a lot of work this offseason to make sure he’s ready for the 2023 season.

During a recent interview with HauteLiving.com, Aaron Donald explained how hard he’s been working to return to the field this fall.

“I’m coming off of ankle surgery this season, so I’m trying to keep my body in top shape, pretty much training Monday through Friday and sometimes Saturdays,” Donald told HauteLiving.com. “I’m in the weight room, conditioning, making sure that I’m able to move how I need to move.”

And according to Donald, all that offseason work seems to be working as he announced that not only is he ready to play this season, but he’s never felt more in shape in his entire life.

“And honestly, I’m in the best shape of my life,” Donald said. “I feel like my strength is where it needs to be. I’m trying to stay away from a lot of fried food, sugars, and things that can cause inflammation, and eat a lot of protein.

It’s a pretty bold announcement from Donald, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on social media as a result.

When he’s healthy, Donald is arguably the most dominant player in the entire league. We’ll have to see if his claims that he’s in the best shape of his life hold true this year.
