As the Green Bay Packers continue to try to make a push toward the postseason, it sounds like they will also continue to be without one of their top players during Monday night’s game against the New York Giants.
According to a report from league insider Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, even though running back Aaron Jones is listed as questionable and practiced all week, he is not expected to play against the Giants on Monday night as he continues to recover from a knee injury and is still not ready to play.
“#Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) isn’t expected to play tonight against the #Giants, per source. Jones, who is listed as questionable, is working hard to get back. He’s just not ready. So, it’ll be the AJ Dillon show again tonight,” Pelissero said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

This is obviously pretty terrible news for the Packers as they continue to try to make a push toward the postseason and are now without arguably their top playmaker in yet another pivotal game, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.
No Aaron Jones, No Christian Watson, No Jaire Alexander.
Yet the Giants will find a way to lose by 23 tonight. https://t.co/MRXcWYmsy0

He practiced all week. He might be checked out I fear. That's how it works right? https://t.co/PgoM2tCURX

Packers will be without their only explosive RB (Jones), TE (Luke Musgrave), and WR (Christian Watson) tonight. https://t.co/bczXf9KwrZ

This will now be the sixth game so far this season that Jones has missed as a result of injuries.
