Green Bay Packers Aaron Rodgers plans to play for the New York Jets this season.
The Packers and Jets are currently negotiating while teams like the San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans lay in wait should the deal fall through.
However, Rodgers isn’t shying away from controversy while he awaits a trade to a new team. Last week, Rodgers endorses controversial Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Instagram stories, posting a photo of Kennedy with a “#kennedy2024” hashtag.
Rodgers doubled down on that support this week.
“Give me a sword. I need an army, and it can’t be just the Party. I need Democrats, Republicans, and Independents,” the anti-vaccine Kennedy wrote on Twitter.
“I won’t pretend to agree with you on every position. But I would make America a safe place to debate your positions, and I will give you an ear and open mind.”
Rogers then figuratively handed Kennedy a sword.

Rodgers has yet to publically comment on Rodgers’ candidacy outside of these two social media posts. However, his stance around the coronavirus vaccine became well-known last season, when Rodgers said he had been “immunized” against the virus but then missed a game due to being unvaccinated because the NFL did not accept his alternative treatment.
