Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper made history during Sunday’s 36-22 win over the Texans after 11 catches for 265 yards and two touchdowns.

He broke the single-game receiving yards record for the Browns and became the first Browns player to have back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. It had been part of a few successful games for Cooper, and he had one person to give praise to: Joe Flacco.

“To be completely candid, I would attribute most of it to Joe,” Cooper said, via the team’s website. “He has an incredible feel for the game. He has an incredible arm. I think, obviously, with the relationship between a receiver and a quarterback, it’s a symbiotic relationship. The best way to explain it is that we mesh well together.”

Flacco, 38, knows a thing or two about being in the pocket and credited Cooper with his abilities. He’s not looking toward the end of his career and admitted he plans to play as long as he can.

It appears to be working, too.

The last three straight wins for the Browns have the team with their sights on playoff contention and head coach Kevin Stefanski announced the veteran would be the starting quarterback for the remainder of the season.

He’ll be playing for incentives, too.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Flacco will make $75,000 for each game the Browns win the rest of the regular season. There of course is more monetary value should the team advance to the playoffs with a possibility of earning $1 million for an AFC Championship win and, $2 million for a Super Bowl win.
